Specialist diagnosis and management of sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain, and exercise-related problems.

Helping you understand your injury and move forward with a clear plan

How I can help

I’m a Sport & Exercise Medicine Physician, specialising in diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal injuries without surgery.

I see a wide range of problems, including tendon pain, joint & muscle injuries, bone stress and other overuse injuries — in people of all ages and activity levels.

I take a careful, considered approach to diagnosis and treatment with a focus on understanding the problem properly, explaining it clearly, and guiding the most appropriate next steps.

In most consultations, the focus is on:

Two people trail running on a rocky forest path from behind.

Understanding the problem properly

Taking the time to understand your history, examine you properly, and interpret imaging in context.

Helping you make sense of it

Clear explanation of your condition — what’s going on, what matters, and what doesn’t.

Two elderly women are walking together hand-in-hand across a street, seen from behind. One wears a colorful floral top with rolled-up jeans and sneakers, while the other wears a purple shirt with gray pants and sneakers. Cars are parked along the street in the background.

Guiding the right treatment

A practical plan that may include rehabilitation, load management, or procedures where appropriate.

Targeted procedures when needed

Including ultrasound-guided injections performed carefully and only when they are likely to add value.

Why see a Sport & Exercise Medicine Physician?

Sport & Exercise Medicine Physicians are specialist medical doctors trained in the comprehensive, non-surgical management of musculoskeletal injuries and exercise-related medical concerns.

A consultation with a specialist physician is focused on:

  • Diagnostic Accuracy: Utilising clinical assessment and interpretation of any investigations to achieve an accurate understanding of the problem.

  • Specialist Management: Providing evidence-based options, including medications and procedural interventions where appropriate, such as ultrasound-guided injections or shockwave therapy.

  • Integrated Recovery: Coordinating a structured return to activity that balances clinical safety with the patient's performance or lifestyle goals.
